You've been there. The project failed, the plan collapsed, the thing you built broke the second you finished it. And instead of a pep talk, what actually came out of your mouth was something colorful, creative, and probably not safe for polite company. Good. That's the spirit this design was made for.
Bold cream lettering on a jet-black background declares "IF FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED" across the top, then explodes into a massive gold brushscript "SWEAR" — underlined with a dramatic golden slash and punctuated by starburst sparks — before landing with equal confidence on "AND TRY AGAIN" below. It's the classic persistence motto with the one honest step everyone skips put right back in the middle where it belongs. The result is equal parts motivational poster and confession booth.
Why people love it:
Brutally Honest: It says the quiet part loud — everyone swears when things go wrong, this design just owns it without apology.
Artisan Impact: The oversized gold brushscript "SWEAR" commands the whole composition, making the punchline impossible to miss from across the room.
Philosophical Fire: It reframes failure as a perfectly valid three-step process: attempt, unleash, repeat — which is honestly more realistic than any self-help book.
Universal Relatability: Whether you're a mechanic, a chef, a coder, or anyone who has ever assembled flat-pack furniture, this message was written about you specifically.
Gallery-Worthy Grit: High-contrast black and gold with dramatic typography gives this the energy of a motivational poster that's been through some things.
Perfect for: Anyone who laughs at failure before trying again • Coworkers who keep it real • Frustrated DIYers and weekend warriors • Sarcastic optimists who refuse to quit
Because "try, try again" was always missing a step — and now it has one.
