You've heard of 'thoughts and prayers' — this is thoughts and receipts . If you've ever had someone try to pray the gay away, you already know the prayer bounced back. This design is for everyone who's lived through the sermon, survived the summer camp, and came out the other side more fabulous than ever.
A bold, retro-styled rainbow arches across the top — all seven colors, loud and proud — with the phrase "Gay Away the Pray" splashed across it in chunky golden lettering with a deep burgundy shadow. It's a witty flip of the tired old anti-LGBTQ slogan, reclaimed and redecorated with the full glory of the rainbow it was always afraid of. The message is simple: the pray didn't work, the gay is still here, and it looks incredible.
Why people love it:
Reclaimed Energy: Takes an old slur of a concept and turns it into a victory lap with zero apologies.
Retro Rainbow Vibes: That classic arching rainbow isn't subtle — it's a full-on Pride statement rendered in timeless style.
Typography Game: The chunky golden groovy font with burgundy drop shadows hits like a 70s poster that went to a Pride parade and never left.
Instant Recognition: Anyone who gets the reference gets it immediately — and their reaction tells you everything you need to know about them.
Unapologetic Humor: Dark enough to have teeth, bright enough to make you smile — the perfect combo for people who've earned the joke.
Perfect for: Pride Month events • LGBTQ+ allies with a sense of humor • gifts for survivors of conversion therapy culture • anyone who's done explaining themselves
The prayer hotline called — it said the number you've reached is unavailable, fabulous, and not accepting callbacks.
