You walked away, you woke up, and you're not apologizing to anyone about it. This design is for the ones who did the research, felt the discomfort, and chose freedom anyway — no guilt trip, no going back, no sacrament meeting on Sunday.
The artwork tells the whole story in one bold image: a figure standing with arms wide open, back turned to a towering LDS temple that dissolves into a flock of birds taking flight toward a blazing sunrise. Mountains flank both sides — the old world of doctrine on the left, the open horizon of a life reclaimed on the right. It's part liberation anthem, part middle finger, and entirely unashamed. The words say it plainly: Ex-Mormon and Proud of It.
Why people love it:
Cinematic Design: The split composition — dark temple crumbling into free birds and a warm sunrise — tells a complete emotional journey without a single extra word.
Zero Ambiguity: The text doesn't whisper. It declares. Exactly how leaving should feel.
Instant Community: Every fellow exmo who spots this knows exactly what that walk away cost — and respects it deeply.
Retro Badge Energy: The compass-circle framing and vintage color palette make this look like an achievement unlocked, because it is.
Conversation Starter: Whether it sparks a debate or a fist bump, it will absolutely spark something.
Perfect for: ex-Mormon meetups and podcasts • leaving the church anniversaries • secular humanist events • gifting to the friend who finally resigned their membership
